The Virginia Floodplain Management Association (VFMA) is a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization (TAX ID# 30-0169277), created in 1994 to serve the floodplain management community. VFMA held its first conference in Williamsburg, Virginia. Annual meetings have since been held as part of the Annual Virginia Water Conference, which VFMA co-sponsors.
